Hey! Listen, that you have made
a mistake should not make you to tear your psyche into shreds. Here are four
things noted in a quote (or rather statement) by Dean Smith that you should do with a mistake; find
them out as you read more and don’t hesitate to share with friends and relations.
Dean Edwards Smith (in the photo above) was an
American Men’s College Basketball Head Coach. Called a “coaching
legend” by the Basketball Hall of Fame, he coached for 36 years at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He was born on 28 February,
1931, and died on 7 February, 2018. He died a Legend hence I am proud to be
talking about him right here on TRENDSOFLEGENDS BLOG.
What to do with a mistake as written in a quote by Dean Smith:
According to Dean Smith’s
quote/statement, there are four things to do with your mistake, they are: Recognize it,
Admit it, Learn from it, and Forget it.
Below, I threw more light on
each of these four things you should do with a mistake. Just relax your mind as
you peruse through each one.
Recognize Your Mistake
Yes, you should try to
recognize your mistake; the first step to correcting a mistake already done is
recognizing it. You should find out what the mistake is like, what caused it,
and so on. Failing to recognize your mistake may lead you into doing it more and more
again and this would be a terror to your life.
Admit Your Mistake
You have already made it, okay.
As long as you have recognized your mistake, kindly and sincerely admit it. Lord
it over yourself for doing it, but do not blame yourself so much to the point
of losing hope and giving up on yourself. Just admit it and go on to correct it,
making sure and being careful not to commit the same mistake again.
Learn From Your Mistake
The worst thing is not that you
made a mistake, but that you failed to learn from the mistake. We are humans
and are liable to making mistakes in life; so whenever you’ve made one, try
your very best to learn from the mistake. Learning from your mistake will make
you better and prepare you for a greater success next time.
Forget Your Mistake
Why still killing yourself over
a mistake made in the past? If you have already done the above mentioned three
things (recognize it, admit it, and learn from it), then you should as well
forget about the mistake and go on with your life and activities. Still having
a mistake in mind all the time won’t make you better either. Just get over it
and push on, but be careful never to make the mistake again.
