Ozo-nwayo was widely known for his peaceful/peace-making nature and had contributed positively and immensely to the growth and development of Orofia Village, Abagana, Njikoka, and Anambra State at large. He also played crucial roles in politics at grassroots and in building up youths with good ambitions.
Actually, this is not the Biography of Ozo-Nwayo Abagana, just a brief description of the icon and some of the tributes to him.
A FAREWELL MESSAGE TO A LEGEND!
It’s evident to me that every life on earth is subjected to demise, only that no one knows when one’s own time would be; but, dear father, your own demise really made me wished that death never existed.
It’s dogmatic that every person congenitally inherits death on the very moment the person’s life was procreated; the verity of life is death, but your absence without doubt really drowned my mind in a river of sorrow, and my soul, flooded with mourning. Waking up every morning, remembering you are no more, makes my psyche to be riffle with mourning.
Honestly, I have really learned a lot from you within the space of time we were together: you are a man of good principles, well refined and defined personality, a source of good leverage to people around you, you had left for us good legacies; I cannot get the words of wisdom you shared with me out of my mind because you did engrave them on the walls of my psyche.
If I had written all in my mind about you without mentioning that you imparted my life positively, then I had opined nothing. You had passed through the corridor of life and your existence was felt through your good dealings and encounters with people, as well as through your phenomenal achievements whilst you were alive; everyone who had come in contact with you may have learned one thing from you that is beneficial to his/her living: you had contributed your own quota; I will always remember your existence because I would never regret ever being one of your descendants.
However, as mystery has had it, and as history has recorded it that before this day, your earthly voyage would have come to an end. Albeit those who are bereft of you [your family members, friends, and well-wishers] are weeping and mourning; yet, I myself really believe you were a man of victory because when you were alive you endeavoured to help people to bring out the best in them: people’s best was your interest.
We cannot wage a war against death: death is inevitable, one can only escape from dying by choosing never to be born, but, no matter what, the Will of God will be done, as it has been done in your own life! Ozo Nwayo, I know you have gone, and have gone forever, but my outright belief is that you are in a better place in the palace of paradise because death is only but the end of earthly life, and as well the beginning of eternal life.
At this juncture, I say a lovely goodbye to you, you will ever be remembered because your footprints are indelible. Until that fateful moment we hope to meet again, peaceful repose.
Abagana has lost an Icon.
Orofia has lost what is more valuable than Gold.
Our family has lost a pillar of Unity.
Since you were a Maker Of Peace!

TRIBUTE TO A MAN OF UNCOMMON INTEGRITY!
It is obvious that whatever has a beginning has an end; but I wished your end never came to light.
You were a man of integrity and sincerity, you did your very best to render succours to others even at the expense of your own efforts, time, and resources; yet you were comfortable doing it so long that would make others to wear cheerful faces.
Ozo Nwayo, nobody had come in contact with you without feeling your great and positive impacts on him/her. There are a lot in my mind about your life well spent on earth, but I could only put few in writing.
As you had embarked on your journey to eternity, may you have a peaceful repose in Paradise; Amen!

FAREWELL TO MY DOTING FATHER!
Life would have been valueless if there were nothing like death; but I really wished you still stayed a bit longer. It was the will of God that you left to have eternal rest, though it was never our wish.
You were an icon of unprecedented humility, patience, endurance, wisdom, Inter Alia. Your life was never a curse to people who wished you well; rather it was a course to success to anyone who had your progress in mind.
You were contented with the little you had, and you never gave chance to those who sought to deprive/deny you of your possession.
Even if I would deny never receiving anything beneficial from you, I would not deny the encouraging pieces of advice you were giving to myself and others (both family and no-family members) when you were alive.
Dear Ozo Nwayo, if humanity benefited from your existence, I hopefully believe that heaven would enjoy your presence; and I pray that the gate of heaven shall not be shut against your soul, Amen.

THE DEPARTURE OF A SAGE!
Initially, it seemed like a fictitious story that you are no more; the news seemed surreal; so hard for me to believe in the first place that you’ve gone to be with your ancestors. I never knew it would be the last time I would meet you alive that weekend.
It is true that your life voyage had come to completion, but the space of time you spent on earth was decorated with indelibly good memories. The sparkling light of the wonderful legacies you’ve left behind would never go dim.
You motivated endlessly, you inspired profusely, you advised accordingly, you corrected rightly, you taught properly, you helped selflessly, you imparted positively to people you came across in life. May your peaceful soul be ushered into the comfort zone of Heaven, Amen!

AN ICON HAS GONE TO REPOSE!
The eulogies given to a deceased person by people unveil a lot about his impacts on the lives of people he had come across in life. The few things I am going to write about my testate dad are just but a tinge of his good works whilst he was alive.
Ozo Nwayo was a man of good visions, not just for his own benefits, but for the good fettle of all. He always gave undoubtedly good advice that bettered the lives of those who accepted every piece of his good admonitions.
He encouraged good works, and had strong aversion to idleness and/or laziness. He rarely condone indecent life. Ozo Nwayo was a man of principles, he was a repository of truth, justice, and
trustworthiness. He was an ambassador of peace.
If I should continue to write about him, I would write realms and realms. My prayer is that the good legacies he left behind will bear good fruits in the lives of those bereft of him.

A TRIBUTE TO A HERO THAT IS WORTHY OF EMULATION!
“Nna anyi Ozo Nwayo”, as I fondly called you! it’s unbelievable and shocking to me each time it comes into my mind that you are no more alive, it still traumatizes me whenever I remember that a great ‘Iroko’ whom I took as my earthly lord is no where to be found, and the worst is that an oracle whose pieces of advice I never took for granted is no where to be seen!
It all started one fateful and blossoming morning that I was on my way to execute my daily building project, then your son, Nonso, rang me and pleaded that I should go to his father’s house to know how his priceless dad was faring concerning his minor ailment [as it was thought to be].
Then, I said okay that I would go in the evening time to know the latest about your health status; and be able to reach him (Nonso) back and give him the feedback. Though he persisted I should go that morning, but I couldn’t because I was already very far away from home, en route to the place that day’s work.
Behold, what I heard on getting nigh to Ozo Nwayo’s compound on my way home that evening was so shocking, the sad news vibrated my nerves for some minutes; I stood for a while, bathed in shocking emotions with my mouth ajar, it was like a dream to me; couldn’t really accept the fact.
On getting to the compound, it was either the dream came true or I woke up; I beheld people bent over in mourning; humans, animals, and even celestial creatures were not left out in the mourning for the inevitable loss of a rare Gem!
Sorrowfully, I joined in the mourning for the departed hero of our time! Ozo Nwayo, words can’t unleash how much I’ve missed your indispensably fatherly advice to me and our community in general.
Your outstanding deeds to our community will forever remain evergreen in our memory! Ozonwayo, you taught me that tolerance, straightforwardness, and perseverance are among the tools that can catapult a young man up to the acme of a hero.
May your peaceful soul have a blissful repose in the bosom of our Lord, Amen.
Adieu our custodian of wisdom!
Adieu the peacemaker!!
Adieu Ozonwayo Abagana!!!
From Your Foster Son,
Nwazojie, Ugochukwu. (Currently a student of Building Tech. Department; FedPoly Oko)
