“When Would A True Igbo Man Become Nigerian President Again?” – Chinonso Emmanuel Asiegbu
And if you asked this kind of question, someone would tell you that some Igbo people are occupying some prominent positions in government. And so what? What are those positions? Who is deceiving who?
Yes, I know that there are Igbo people right there at top positions in the Federal Government of Nigeria; but would the world come to an end if a true Igbo person sits as a Nigerian President?
This is time to start creating a fair ground for everybody in this nation. When was the last time someone from the Eastern part of the country (from one of the Sates occupied by the Igbo) was the President of Nigeria?
Yes, Igbos (Easterners) want to produce a President as well, not only the Northerners, Westerners, and Southerners.
I am not here to criticize or to utter hate words; but I am here to call for
fairness and equity. If we are one Nigeria and we truly accept that we are,
then in every sixteen years, the Presidents of this country should be rotated fairly among the Eastern region, Western region, Northern region, and Southern region of this nation, four years each.
I am still asking this question: when will a true Igbo person (Easterner) become a President of Nigeria again? I am not been partial, because I am dead sure that other regions of this country desire to produce a President.
Let me have your opinions, and please, avoid sounding bad. Be innocuous in your
opinions. Do not use hate speeches, and remember that you are entitled to your own opinions.
