Let’s get comfortable with Nonso Amadi, who is a Canadian-based Nigerian singer, self-taught songwriter and music producer. He was born on the 1st of September, 1995 in Lagos, Nigeria to Eastern-Nigerian parents of 7 children, and he is the third child of the family.
Nonso studied Chemical Engineering at Covenant University, Nigeria where he got his first B.Sc before moving to the UK in 2014 to continue his studies at Swansea University. He currently holds a Master’s degree from McMaster University, Canada.
The 24-year-old began his music career in 2012 while at Covenant University. He released his debut EPAlone in 2015 and few months later dropped his hit single “Tonight” which currently is his most successful song with 5.9 million views on YouTube.
The song had many covers made including one by DMW’s Mayorkun.
In 2017, he collaborated with Odunsi The Engine to drop his second EPWar which had 3 tracks “Don’t“, “Oceans” and “Stay“.
In 2019, he released his third EPFree. The 6-track Extended Play features fellow Nigerian superstars Simi and Mr. Eazi and also contains his 2018 hit single “No Crime“.
