How Labourer Bagged Degree In Medicine And Surgery: A Ugandan man identified as Roland Olum has taken to Twitter to celebrate as he is set to bag two degrees.
He shared before and after photos revealing the menial job he did as a labourer in 2018 which he used to sponsor himself through the university.
Olum announced that he will be graduating on May 23, 2022 with Bachelor of Medicine as well as Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Makerere University School of Medicine.
According to the young doctor, his journey is one that began in 2003, and is being written in a book because it is worthy of celebration.
Sharing photos of himself, the graduating doctor wrote; ”Confirmed: I will be graduating with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from @Makerere University on May 23rd, 2022.
The story behind this journey that began in 2003 is a book in writing and deserves celebration.”
