Two Teenage Brothers Rearrested For R#pe In Port Harcourt
Two Teenage Brothers Rearrested For R#pe In Port Harcourt: The Rivers State Police Command’s Operatives of Puff Adder tactical team have re-arrested two brothers, aged 16 and 19, for allegedly having illicit carnal knowledge of 2-year-old twins, a boy, and a girl, in Port Harcourt.
After they allegedly committed the crime in January 2022, the suspects were arrested and later released.
Achinihu Clement, the twins’ mother, informed reporters that they had been re-arrested after a human rights organization intervened through the State Commissioner of Police.
Mrs. Clement described how she found her children’s alleged defilement by saying she wanted to dress her son up on January 10, 2022, but he couldn’t sit on the bed.
Her son told her that the suspects who live with them interfered with his anus during interrogation in a juvenile voice.
She rushed the infants to the hospital, where it was determined that the female twin’s hymen had also been severely injured.
She claimed that she broke into the Puff Adder tactical squad and arrested the suspects, who were later freed.
Human rights advocacy group, Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday, April 26.
A lawyer with the group, Edwin Obiorah Esq, called for thorough investigation into the incident to determine the culpability of the suspects.
“Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign welcomes the re-arrest of two male suspects by the Puff Ader tactical unit of the Rivers State Police command and subsequent transfer of the suspects to human rights desk at the Police headquarters for allegedly defiling two year old twins (boy and girl) in Port Harcourt,” the statement read.
“Report of physical and medical examination conducted on the girl and boy child as sighted by the centre, showed that they were not only defiled but their private part were seriously damaged.
“The Centre calls for a thorough investigation into the incident with a view to dispensing justice to all parties involved in the matter.”

This must be traumatizing for the victims and their mother. WE hope that they pay this time because age cannot be used as an excuse for a crime like this.
